July Water Quality Data

Much of the July water quality data is now available.  Check out your favorite location!

The lower chain of lakes have been seeing an increase in algae, along with the middle sections of East Okoboji.  Big Spirit Lake observed some high algae concentrations in early July sampling.  This weeks sampling indicates noticeable, but declining algae levels.  Samples are taken in open water areas.  Localized algae blooms could still be noticed near shorelines.  West Okoboji Lake has been seeing lower algae levels and terrific water clarity in July.
